Welcome to Annapolis, the capital city of Maryland and home to the
United States Naval Academy and St. John’s College. The seven-square
mile peninsula is bordered by the scenic Severn River and spectacular
Chesapeake Bay. Annapolis is the mecca for the international sailing
community and has earned the title of “America’s Sailing Capital.”
Annapolis’ reach extends beyond the city limits attracting
businesses from around the globe. Many companies, varying widely in
size and industry focus, have chosen to locate in this busy hub that is
situated within 30 miles of Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland.
Six “business neighborhoods” are the foundation of the city’s local
and regional economy. Each one is unique in its character and vitality.
Collectively, they are the cornerstone of Annapolis: A city where
superior quality of living is a way of life.
